A good experience

Lately, the government and parents of students are want an able teacher who can everything, especially can speaks English with fluency. But, I'm not good at English. After graduated high school, I didn't feel the necessity to study English. But now I realized my ignorance. Although my colleague are praise my abilities as a elementary school teacher, if I couldn't speak English fairly well, I'm no longer a excellent teacher. It's a very serious and sad problem in Korea. That is my main reason to make me entering to CIFLE.

Anyway, I entered CIFLE. Regular life at CIFLE will be became a life-changing moment for me. I expect that. Now, the end of this course approaches. I feel so sorry about that. A few weeks at CIFLE was very special and fantastic period to me. Also, The CIFLE life was very hard to me. I couldn't understood foreign teacher's lecture. Their speech was very fast and used long sentence. I try to understand, but it was difficult too. There are several good English classmates, I was embarrassed because of difference to abilities with them. Although I entered CIFLE voluntarily, but that was so hard to me.

I was surprised that foreign teachers have a broad knowledge and teaching techniques. Actually, I met several foreign teachers at the school as my colleague, but I thought that they are not fit for elementary school teacher. They can't understand the Korean students and they have lack of teaching skills. They are just good English. But, I could feel that CIFLE's teacher are passionate in their work. It is very fortunate.

Jonathan is very friendly to us, sometimes he had a joke but I can't understand that. After this training course he will be leaving to travel to Laos. He teaches CBL, performance. David He is a writer with humanism. He wrote two books about he and his family. He teaches idioms and drama. Alexis looks like a kindergarten teacher and she teaches language activities and public speaking. Angie has a very delicate nature and she teaches team-teaching and micro-teaching. Christopher is similar to college teachers and he teaches writing and debate. I respect everybody's passion.

At CIFLE, I have to take a class all day from 9 a.m to 9 p.m. And I have to do special task using extra time. Also I should be doing school work. And I have to spend with my family over the weekend. Although life in CIFLE was very busy and hard, I will never forget. This training course was a good experience for me.
